Westmead Vascular Institute comprises practitioners from a variety of disciplines, all who have an interest in vascular medicine (including cardiologists, cardiothoracic surgeons, neurosurgeons, diagnostic and interventional radiologists, endocrinologists, radiotherapists, and others).
Prof. John Fletcher (Vascular Surgeon) is the founding chairman of Westmead Vascular Institute. Dr. Noel Young (Diagnostic and Interventional Radiologist) is the founding secretary. Westmead Vascular Institute exists to facilitate efficient and effective cardiovascular management for patients, and to foster research and development in vascular biology and health.
